We, as members of the body of Christ and the Falling Waters Presbyterian Church, strive to be an extended family—reaching out to one another, our community and the world. In offering ourselves to this sacred mission, we will show the way of Christ so that the community and the world in which we live may learn “to do justice, love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God.”---Micah 6:8
What is the congregation’s or organization’s vision for ministry? Additionally describe how this vision is lived out.
Our Vision Statement is “Because God first loved us, we are called to love, serve, and witness.”
Love: The congregation offers love and support to each other, using the shepherding program, to try to ensure no one is overlooked. The church shows its love to the community and world primarily through monetary donations to charitable organizations and a missionary. We also show our love to the community through the Amazing Grace program, Paula’s Community Day, Community Day in the Park, volunteering and giving supply needs for Spring Mills Middle School. We strive to love all people regardless of their differences from us.
Serve: The congregation serves the community through the Amazing Grace program. We serve in the community as individuals by volunteering with charitable organizations.
Witness: The church witnesses to the community through the Amazing Grace, Vacation Bible School, Paula’s Community Day, Community Day in the Park, and volunteering. We try to live out the church’s Vision Statement and show God’s love by living our lives in such a way that anyone can see Christ in us. As we care for others, as individuals, our actions are being observed by others who see our Christianity in the expression of our love and service.
