Our mission statement, as created by our congregation is “Love God, Love Yourself, Love your neighbors, and go tell others about Jesus.” At Cook’s we seek to spread the word of Christ through word AND deed as guided by the bible.  Our Church is a pillar that the local community depends. In times of need, we reach out to help through numerous missions. These ministries extend to our closest neighbors and as far as Africa.

Our congregation relishes spiritual growth through the bible and envelops the values that are instilled.

We are rooted in tradition and ever growing in service.

How do you feel called to reach out to address the emerging needs of your community or constituency?

Cook’s Memorial has served Northwest Charlotte since the 1800’s. We, as a church, have been filling the needs of our community through ministry efforts such as disaster relief and feeding the hungry.

Our local community continues to grow exponentially in population and diversity. This local growth has brought with it growing and changing needs. We KNOW that the most important need is growing in faith and understanding Jesus Christ.  In today’s world there is a spiritual and moral void that is getting larger everyday as Christianity moves down the priority list in so many people’s lives.

The congregation of Cook’s Memorial feels a responsibility to reach out to this ever growing void from the youngest to the elderly. Our doors are open to any and all willing to hear the word of Christ.

How will this position help you to reach your vision and mission goals?

At Cook’s we desire a spiritual leader to guide us as we grow as a congregation in our relationship with Christ, in our relationship with community, and as we grow in our service to others. This will further our endeavors in ministry and help develop new modalities of service and inspiration.
