We believe our vision is lived out by working together in Shared Ministry with Our Saviors Ten Mile Lake Lutheran Church to support our communities through; community worship, church suppers, Bible School, Bible studies, and by supporting our praying for those in need.
How do you feel called to reach out to address the emerging needs of your community or constituency?
We have an energy in our congregation,  we are excited about new possibilities to grow our church by reaching out to new community members who do not have a church. We also have an opportunity to get our current members more involved, and many opportunities for young families to get together.  
How will this position help you to reach your vision and mission goals?
We are looking forward to new leadership that will get members of the congregation more involved. By perfectly being able to communicate and relate to all ages of the congregation,  he or she can create an environment of sustainability,  growth and creativity in order to keep our mission alive and well. While also increasing our internal and external relationships under Christ throughout our community. 
Provide a description of the characteristics needed by the person who is open to being called to this congregation and or organization.
We would like our new leader to have a strong commitment to our Shared Ministry with Our Saviors Ten Mile Lake Lutheran Church,  building a sense of community.  We want to find someone who is able to relate to youth andyoung families, as well as our elderly members. Pastoral care and visitation are important to our congregation.  We want someone who relevant and relatable,  this will reflect in their preaching and teaching.  By accomplishing these things we will continue with the growth of our Shared Ministry.  
What specific tasks, assignments, and program areas will this person have responsibility?
Be a leader in Sunday worship services. Laying out a format for Sunday services, including children's sermons. Be willing to conduct confirmation classes. Have a thorough understanding of both the Presbyterian and ELCA churches and treat each equally. Be a leader for session and council meetings, as well as the Shared Ministry committee. Involvement with Bible study and youth group as well as community activities and events, be present outside of church. 
We are in a somewhat unique union, being of two different denominations.  Other churches may be looking at us as a model in the future. Therefore the two congregations and the rosfered leader need to put forth extra effort to show that a union like this not only can work, but that it DOES work.

9am & 10:30am every Sunday.  Worship start time alternates between the two churches every four months.

Our vision is lived out by working together in Shared Ministry to support our community through: community worship, church suppers – open and welcome to the public, community Bible School, Bible studies and by supporting and praying for those in need

The needs of the community are continually changing and growing,  much like the church. We are an active member within the community,  we make needs known as they arise and take change as it comes and grow together. We reach out to new members of the community and those looking for a church family. 
3. How will this position help you to reach your vision and mission goals?
We are looking forward to new pastoral leadership that will enable members of the congregation to become more involved in the mission of the church. By effectively being able to communicate and relate to people of all ages, our pastor can enable us to create an environment of sustainability, growth and creativity that will help us strengthen and grow the mission of our congregations.
