Brief Church Mission Statement:
Surrounded by God's grace, we are a family of faith joined together through Christ, offering meaning and hope to all by the way we worship, serve, and live.
What is the congregation’s or organization’s vision for ministry? Additionally describe how this vision is lived out.

Founded in 1993, LPC is a congregation which through worship, education, social witness, and mission seeks to embody the love and grace of God, seen most clearly in Jesus Christ. Worship is central, with a high priority placed on excellence in preaching and music. While the service is traditional, with a sanctuary choir and a bell choir, we also use other instruments occasionally.  In worship we are inspired, challenged, and nourished to hear God’s Word and to live out our faith during the week through fellowship, faith formation and mission. We offer fellowship after each service to help visitors and existing members connect and sponsor monthly dinners and dine around groups.

Discipleship grounded in better knowledge of Scripture is a priority. Four years ago, LPC became an Earth Care congregation, with a team seeking to help us be better stewards of God’s creation. All connected to LPC are encouraged to engage with others and to put their gifts and energy to work within the Church and in the community and the world.

We envision expanding faith formation, social witness, and mission in person and through expanded technology. Since the pandemic, we have experienced a resurgence of dedication to these areas.  Live streaming services and technology have offered new pathways to reach our congregation and othersWe hope to continue to expand these capabilities. Our new and modernized audio-visual system will provide more opportunities in the future.
How do you feel called to reach out to address the emerging needs of your community or constituency?

LPC attracts members who bring fresh energy and often past church experience, however, because people also move away sometimes continuity is a challenge. There is great potential for evangelism to younger generations who are drawn to this area so we might expand our young adult ministry.

The congregation has always been gracious sharing its campus and buildings. Two other congregations (Jewish and Hispanic) and numerous non-profits are welcomed. Given our beautiful property with moss covered oaks and a centralized location there is likely even more potential to be a witness to Christ. Our congregation is currently undergoing a major renovation to our Fellowship Hall to make it more accessible and useful for area non-profits.

While an affluent area, there are also many who struggle economically and while our strong mission efforts offer tremendous relief through hands-on service and generous giving, we know there are bigger issues to be addressed and think we could continue to grow in the area of Social Witness and deepen our commitment to care of creation.

We believe our Covid induced technology allows for ministry opportunities, beyond the current streaming of services and Zoom meetings, to better serve and reach the community. Our congregation raised $180,000.00 in three months, towards this end and to improve our sound system
