What is the congregation’s or organization’s vision for ministry? Additionally describe how this vision is lived out.
Warrenton Presbyterian Church is a servant community. Our vision is two-fold.
1) To nurture our congregation in spiritual growth and understanding, and in application of Christian principles and beliefs in our daily interactions and 2) to be faithful in preserving our gathering as a place where the Word is rightly preached and the sacraments are properly administered, so that God may rescue us as a people for Himself. Our vision for ministry is carried out by providing for the hungry, the sick, the bereaved, and those with needs that we cannot see or know. We live our vision by numerous Christian Education classes and activities for all ages, including a vital youth program and the Warrenton Preschool. We live our mission through annual mission trips, as able, to West Virginia and Haiti. We live our mission through the support of missionaries in Ethiopia, New Guinea and central Asia.
