Brief Church Mission Statement:
OUR MISSION is to share the good news of Jesus Christ by studying His word, worshipping together, and serving the Lord through outreach.
What is the congregation’s or organization’s vision for ministry? Additionally describe how this vision is lived out.
Our vision for ministry is to grow into a congregation of all ages, to fulfill spiritual and personal needs, and to expand missions.  This vision is lived out by responding to identified needs in our congregation as well as in our community through programs, such as Wednesday Night Bible Study, a weekly Food Pantry, and Children and Adult Sunday School.
How do you feel called to reach out to address the emerging needs of your community or constituency?
We feel called to address the emerging needs of our community by expanding our existing missions of the weekly local resident Food Pantry, by supporting local mission projects and workdays, and by holding mission fund raisers.  Also, by continuing to fund college scholarships and youth mission trips, as well assist with unforeseen mission needs.
How will this position help you to reach your vision and mission goals?
The position of pastor will help us reach our vision and mission goals by being a partner in ministry with the congregation, who will serve with us, and who will minister to the needs of the congregation and the community.  A pastor who will aid in our visions in expanding our involvement and visibility in the community is important.  Also, a pastor who will continue our positive relationship with PCUSA which allows us to be bigger than ourselves by drawing on the resources of a diverse and larger community of believers.
Provide a description of the characteristics needed by the person who is open to being called to this congregation and or organization.
We need a pastor who models his/her life after Jesus Christ, who can inspire the congregation through sermons that impact us spiritually and intellectually, who will serve with us enthusiastically and who can be embracing of the existing, cohesive relationship of our congregation.
What specific tasks, assignments, and program areas will this person have responsibility?
The minister's responsibilities include but are not limited to: the typical duties of a pastor, to be present at church activities, to be involved in community programs, to participate in area ministerial activities, to help develop church-related social media, and to have flexible office hours.
