Provide solace and spiritual counsel to church members.
Celebrate the congregation during times of joy.
Provide guidance; work with committees to create Christian Education opportunities for all.
Prepare sermons that provide inspiration and challenge; lead individuals to a greater understanding of God’s word.
Seek visitation opportunities to provide fellowship and goodwill.
Work with members to create opportunities to encourage community members to visit and attend church activities.
Lead elders/deacons in spiritual/personal development and orderly execution of the administration of church assets/properties.
Continue education by taking advantage of offerings provided by seminaries, Presbytery, and others.
Communicate with session, committees, staff, and the congregation; facilitate effective direction of the operation of the church, to the glory of our Lord.
Conduct official church functions of communion, baptisms, weddings, and funerals for our church family and provide continuing aftercare.
Guide congregation with conflict mediation engaging Presbytery as needed.
Seek opportunities to guide how the Lord may be working in a person’s life
Work with session/committees to develop a budget and plan for local outreach/concerns.
Work with outreach to develop service projects, and fellowship activities.
Assess with the building committee the usage/maintenance needs to determine repairs/remodels; consider best usage of facilities.
Take active part in Presbytery and local ministerial association
