The members and friends of Rock Prairie Presbyterian Church worship God our Creator, believe in salvation through Jesus Christ His Son, and live daily with guidance from the Holy Spirit.  We share His message of love and salvation with others through worship, prayer, fellowship and service.

Ministry at Rock Prairie Church includes growing in faith and numbers for our youth as well as the adults.  We hope to become more compassionate and work together toward a common goal of Christian living in a divided world.  We work to be examples of God's love and forgiveness as well as good stewards of His many gifts in our lives.

We hope to invest our time and talent to encourage the youth at Rock Prairie to participate in activities and grow their faith through meaningful bible study and Sunday school.  We intend to be open to new opportunities for growth and study for our adult members and encourage open discussion and listening to hear opinions and concerns that may have divided our congregation.
How do you feel called to reach out to address the emerging needs of your community or constituency?
Rock Prairie has a strong history of mission locally and throughout the world.  We strive to become more visible in our community and to those in need so that we can serve both physical and spiritual needs.  We hope to become more "digital" in our worship and outreach, while still maintaining the warm, welcoming atmosphere that we love at Rock Prairie Church.
How will this position help you to reach your vision and mission goals?
We are looking for an Interim Pastor who will be our spiritual leader in this time of transition by leading us in worship, proclaiming the gospel effectively, so the people are encouraged in faith.  We want a person who will also expand our vision, take us out of our comfort zone and strengthen our purpose.  The Interim Pastor shall serve as a teacher, spiritual healer and counselor for members in need.

* An ordained minister approved by the Presbytery
* A Bachelor's degree and Master's of Divinity degree
* Significant Pastoral experience
* Possess interpersonal skills with a sense of sincerity, humility, caring and compassion, especially, with regards to addiction and conflict resolution
* Prefer Interim Transitional Training
What specific tasks, assignments, and program areas will this person have responsibility?
* Help Rock Prairie youth grow in their faith.  Counsel and support them to help restore their trust in our leaders.  Initiate and lead Confirmation and give guidance to Sunday school leaders
* Help Rock Prairie members gain a better understanding of addictions and its effect on surrounding people
* Bring healing for members who may feel there was a breach of trust by the previous Pastor
* Initiate and support Christian Ed, youth and adult small group bible study
* Assist with the Mission/Vision study
* Assist Pastor Nomination Committee with methods, processes and adequate reports but will not be involved in any way with the search or selection of the new pastor
